Buses will be leaving at 3:15 this week, except on Thursday the buses will leave at 2:10. Please make sure you’re there on time.

If you are interested in playing basketball, please stop by the office to sign-up.  All prospective players must have a physical and a “golden ticket”/clearance from the office to be eligible to try out. If you are not cleared for tryouts you will not be considered for the team.

8th grade Boys Basketball: The second tryout is today, Wednesday, November 4, at 6:30 pm, in the gym.

8th grade Girls Basketball: The second tryout will be on Friday, November 6, at 5:30-7:30 pm, in the Gym.

7th grade Boys Basketball: The second tryout is today, Wednesday, November 4, at 5:00 pm, in the Gym.

7th grade Girls Basketball: The second tryout will be tomorrow, Thursday, November 5, at 6:30 pm, in the Gym.

6th grade Girls Basketball: There’s a Basketball clinic on Tuesday, November 10, at 3:30 pm, Thursday, November 12, at 3:40 pm, and Friday, November 13, at 3:30 pm, in the Gym. The try-outs will be the week of November 16.

6th grade Boys basketball: TBD- we don’t have a coach yet.

6th Grade Girls Volleyball: The last home game is this Friday, November 6, at 4:30, here vs. Buena Vista.
 
The Conduct Club Luncheon, which is for students that have all “O’s” on their report card, is today. The permission slips were due on Monday. If you turned in your permission slip, please meet in front of the school after 4th period to take roll and walk down together as a group.

If you turned in your Conduct Club Luncheon permission slip and changed your mind about going, please let the office know as soon as possible.

Cross Country Championships! Come see our undefeated boys team run in the championships today, Wednesday, November 4, at Carmel Middle School. Girls race begins at 4:00 pm and boys begin 4:30 pm.

The results are in and 14 PGMS students have been selected to participate in the CCS Middle School Honor Choir. There were a total of 131 students selected from across the Central Coast. Congratulations to: Maya Chisolm, Bella Green, Gabe Guertin, Gia Hertel, Jessica James, Joely Kaatz, Logan Keller, Cali Knoop, Emma Millette, Nicole Munoz, Caitlyn Silveira, Cady Simons, Audre Swanston, and Madalena Taurke!

Red Ribbon Week is this week:

Wednesday, Nov. 4:  ●College Day
                                    ●Round 2 of “Red Ribbon Ball” – 8thGrade vs. Staff

Thursday, Nov. 5:                  ●Pajama Day
                                    ●Round 3 of “Red Ribbon Ball” – winners of first 2 rounds 

Friday, Nov. 6:                       ●Blue & White Day
                                    ●Turn in cards with all 5 stickers for a treat

PG Pony is hosting Movie Night on Friday, November 6, at 6pm, at Muni (17 Mile Dr. & Pico). The snack bar will be open and admission is FREE! A donation of $10 per family is requested, but not required. Bring your own blankets and stadium chairs.

Attention All BASKETBALL Player, ages 8 – 16! The annual Elk’s Basketball Skills contest will be held at P.G. High on Saturday, November 14, at 5:30 pm! This contest is free and no advance registration is needed.  Warm-ups and registration begins at 5:00 pm in the High School Gym.  For more information, call the Youth Center at 648-3134.
